THE SPARC ROADMAP
The roadmap is updated regularly and gives everyone an insight into the current status of work on SPARC and its content. So check back from time to time to stay up to date.
WHERE DOES SPARC STAND TODAY?
The idea for SPARC emerged in 2022 and, since June 2023, the first participants have been discovering, learning and participating on the platform.
At the moment, SPARC is still under construction and will be continually expanded with new learning content, features and virtual exercise scenarios. This means that the complete SPARC learning path is not yet available.
For this reason, SPARC intermediate exams, final exams or final certification are not yet activated and available.
Until the SPARC program is fully available, it is not yet possible to skip the first selection test for the Swiss Army Cyber Training Course. However, SPARC is already providing its participants with the knowledge and skills needed to pass the technical assessment of the first selection test.
SPARC participants can acquire current, relevant and concrete cyber skills throughout their SPARC journey in the Explorer & Defender phases. They work independently on conventional e-learning courses, put what they have learned into practice in exciting virtual laboratory scenarios and continually assess their progress through tests and course exams. To do this, they have access to educational content developed by cyber-experts, which opens opportunities for them in their training, their careers and their path in the Army.
The SPARC team therefore continues to work hard to make new content and opportunities available to SPARClers as quickly and regularly as possible.
SPARC PROGRAM PROCESS
The following graphic gives you an overview of the entire SPARC program, from your registration, through your learning path on the SPARC platform, to the cyber course. Together with the other information here on the roadmap, this will help you to understand where the work on SPARC is currently taking place.
CURRENT STATUS
For interested participants, parents and teachers, here’s a brief overview of the current status of the project.
- In the course of 2024, SPARC will offer all Explorer and Defender phase courses.
- To date, no intermediary or final exams have been activated.
- At present, participants do not receive a certificate of completion for the SPARC program.
- SPARC participants can acquire important cyber skills for their future careers through SPARC.
OUR GOALS
The following goals will be achieved by the SPARC team for our SPARClers:
- In the year 2024, we will make available the first SPARC Operator Phase courses.
- As soon as SPARC phase content is fully available, our goal is to unlock skip-tests and intermediary exams for our SPARC participants.
- By 2025, SPARC should be fully available to our participants.
The SPARC team is working hard to enable our SPARC participants to complete their learning path as quickly as possible, in order to:
- Provide them with new, relevant and exciting cyber content.
- Offer them their SPARC certificate of completion.
- Enable them to skip the first selection stage of the Cyber Training Course.
